Conferences
The first NDBS conference was set up to provide opportunities for staff working in a behaviour support role across the UK to meet up and exchange issues, ideas and good practice.

The conference became an annual event, being held for many years at Nottingham University and Sutton Bonnington Hall before moving to its current venue at Leicester University.

Three years ago, a separate event was set up for staff working in Scotland in response to increasing differences in national context, particularly with regard to funding and exclusions.

NDBS has also recognised the specific needs of Behaviour Support Service managers and has, for the last 4 years, organised smaller scale events, on an invitation only basis, looking at key managerial issues.

Conferences have always been oversubscribed. In order to respond to increasing demand, we have chosen this year to run the annual UK conference twice (in September and April) and this arrangement is likely to be repeated in future.

Details of forthcoming events will appear regularly on the NDBS website.
